Gary LaTurner received his M.A. in ED. from Eastern Washington State University. Gary grew up in Spokane and moved to Western Washington to begin his teaching career. He taught art and has worked in the arts most of his life. LaTurner uses pencil, watercolor, and oils to create impressionist drawings and paintings of figures, portraits, and landscapes. Gary has had many solo exhibits and has been accepted in a variety of juried shows. He works plein air as well as in his home studio. His artworks have sold nationally and internationally. Artist Statement
I enjoy trying new media and experimenting with the latest tools and equipment. Drawing and painting have always been my favorite ways to express myself. I also enjoyed teaching pottery and making expressive works in clay. I enjoy working at home in my studio as well as regularly attending figure drawing sessions in the Seattle area.
